A death metal band from Colombia, that’s not something you run into every day. And a pretty extreme death metal band, too. Well, ofcourse, they’re on Qabalah, a subdivision of Repulse Records. The lyrics aren’t about the usual gore/murder stuff, but seem to be dealing about spiritualism and fantasy. The music, on the contrary, isn’t that original. Their music sounds a bit like a band such as Devourment, and some Deeds of Flesh, too. The production, by the way, is a complete disaster. It’s totally out of balance. Every time the drummer plays double bass parts, my speakers go berserk. Way too much low frequencies. For the rest, this is a quite decent death album. (Stijn)
