The production really is of demo-quality, raw and improvable. Carve show us that not only Gotenburg Metal and Dismember Death Metal is being produced in Ikea land.

Carve play Death Metal but more in the U.S. Death style. I hear some Immolation (especially in the solos) and Vader in their sound. The vocals are reminiscent of Peter from Vader. Carve mostly play their Death Metal in high speed but also occasionally drop to mid-paced parts to add the required variation. Some listening tips are ‘Imhothep’, ‘Creatures with wings’ and ‘Operation re-crucifiction’.

Although Carve are not original or innovative, they’re still able to satisfy every Death Metal fan’s hunger for sure. I only wonder how long this stream of quality Death Metal releases can go on, as we all know what happened in the mid 90-ties…
