After interviewing Bleeding Gods in our first issue, main man Ramon Ploeg started writing music for the debut full length. Yes, we have such an influence on artists talkin with us gives certain inspiration puppets on a string No, you dont believe it? Moving on “Shepherd of Souls”! Bleeding Gods said goodbye towards bassist Bart van Wallenberg and vocalist Arnold Oudemiddendorp and welcomed female bassist Gea Mulder (ex-Grind Minded) and vocalist Mark Huisman. The dish Bleeding Gods is serving is still the same, a blend of Death and Thrash Metal with a pinch of groove. Well, not quite the same as you hear evolvement comparing it with the demo. And to give the album something extra, there are several acoustic guitar intermezzos. I think followers of riff-driven Legion of The Damned, Sinister and later albums of Vader who enjoy some Pantera or old Machine Head once and a while as well (listen to “Lords of Xibalbá (II)”) will do themselves a favor to check this one out.
