Necromoon – War With Tyranny

necromoon – war with tyranny

Info

From the Putrid Cult stables comes this new anonymous Polish act called Necromoon. With no other information available than this, we should just start focussing on the music of this illustrious band, as they certainly have something to offer for those who are into bands digging into the very primal stages of Black Metal.

With its savage riffing, pummelling and barking Necromoon indeed delves into those embryonical stages of what we now call Black Metal. Thoroughly late 80’s in sound and heavily inspired by the likes of Beherit, Necro Schizma, Goat Lord, Barathrum, Profanatica, Impaled Nazarene and Blasphemy, we are being served with 37 minutes of utterly depraved sickening tunes of old. The slow-to-mid-tempo riffing, low-end rumblings and even some sinister sounding keyboards here and there do give the music an almost delirious and hallucinating feel, adding even more to the comparison with bands like Beherit or Goatlord. The sudden bursts of unbridled violence with fast drums and grinding guitars do reflect the band’s penchant for the other bands used as reference.

‘War With Tyranny’ might not quite offer you something you haven’t heard before, but for sure it sounds genuine and pure. Therefore it will definitely appeal to those who will never get enough of these sounds of yore, so if you consider yourself part of that category, you know what to do. No subtleties or finesse here.
