Their debut-album ‘Embraced by the Absolute’ blew me (and many others) completely away because of the great brutality which the songs contained. Now finally their second record has been unleashed and in my opinion it’s the perfect follow-up.
Some of the brutality of their first record has gone but the band integrated more melody and variation among the song. And although there a lot of melody Autumn Leaves still are far more brutal than any Gothenburg-band! Confusing huh?
This album contains 10 tracks (including 2 instrumentals) of great Death Metal with an excellent production in 53 minutes. I’m still trying to find bands to compare them with but I still haven’t been able to come up with any. This album fuckin’ shreds!
Some great songs which you must check out are: ‘The reign Supreme’, ‘Empty Black Stare’, ‘The Present Past’ and ‘The Discovery’. For more info on this band check out the interview in this edition!
