Eko, Azarak, Eko, Eko, Zamiliak! ‘An Involution Of Thorns’ is perhaps the best intro I’ve ever heard!
The Texan Absu (formerly known as Dolmen) released their first full length through Gothic Records and Osmose Records anno 1993. That time American bands simply didn’t know how to play decent Black Metal, but Absu did. Without sounding Scandinavian ‘Barathrum: V.I.T.R.I.O.L.’ shows a totally own faced style of Blackened Death Metal with two vocalists. After this record the band chose a more Thrash Metal approach.
But great anthems like ‘An Equinox Of Fathomless Disheartenment’ and ‘Fantasizing To The Third Of The Pagan Vision’ remain the best Absu songs up to date.
